Really enjoyed Martin Bright's Channel 4 programme tonight about Ken Livingstone. The power of a Mayor's office with no accountability and a kitchen cabinet full of Trots should frighten anyone in these parts who aspires to such a model of city regional government in Manchester, Liverpool, or even Marple.
It also scotched the myth that the congestion charge has worked. Something to think about in Manchester.
There's more coverage, here.
And from the excellent Nick Cohen, here.
And Martin Bright's own page on the New Statesman site is here.
